 Ultrasonic transducer sensor uses sound wave material to carry out non-contact and non-damage detection of the detected object. Ultrasonic sensors can detect all transparent or colored plates, blocks of metal or non-metal materials, solid, liquid, and powdered chemical substances. Its detection characteristics are almost immune to all natural environmental standards, including dusty natural environments and rainy days.

  

Detection method

  Ultrasonic sensor is the key to use the immediate double beam detection method. The object to be detected located in front of the sensor partly sends the sound wave back to the signal receiver of the sensor, so that the sensor detects the object.

   At this stage, there are also some ultrasonic range transducer sensors that use the through-beam detection method. A set of through-beam ultrasonic sensors includes a signal transmitter and a signal receiver, which always "answer" each other. The detected object located between the signal receiver and the signal transmitter may block the signal receiver from receiving and sending the sound wave, and the sensor will cause the power switch data signal.

  

Detection range and sound wave transmission angle

   

The detection range of ultrasonic transducer sensors lies in the wavelength and frequency of its application. The longer the light wavelength, the smaller the frequency, and the larger the detection distance. For example, the detection range of a compact ultrasonic transducer with a mm-level light wavelength is 300~500mm. The detection range of a ultrasonic sensor with a light wavelength exceeding millimeters reaches 2m. Some ultrasonic sensors have a narrow 6º sound wave transmission angle, so they are more suitable for precise detection of relatively small objects. Other ultrasonic sensors with a sound wave transmission angle of 12º to 15º can detect objects with a large tilt angle. In addition, people also have an external camera-type ultrasonic sensor, and the relative electronic circuit is located in the basic sensor housing. This kind of structure is more suitable for detecting and installing places with limited indoor space.

  

Adjustment of ultrasonic sensor 

  Basically all ultrasonic level sensors can adjust the near point and far point or the detection range of the power switch output. Blocks outside the setting range can be detected, but it is not easy to change the output condition. Some ultrasonic transducers have different main parameters for adjustment, such as the response speed of the sensor, the characteristics of radar echo damage, and the adjustment of the working direction when the ultrasonic sensor is connected to the pump equipment.

   Repeatability

   Factors such as light wavelength will endanger the precision of ultrasonic sensors. The most critical influencing factor is the speed of sound waves changing with temperature. Therefore, many ultrasonic sensors have the characteristics of temperature compensation. This feature enables an analog input and output ultrasonic sensor to obtain a repeatability of up to 0.6 mm in a wide temperature range.

  Ultrasonic sensors of all series products often have switch output type products. Some products also have 2-way switch output (such as minimum and larger level gauge operation). Most of the product series can produce products with analog input current or analog analog working voltage output.

   Metal material impact sound, rumbling sound and other noises are not easy to harm the main parameter assignment of the ultrasonic sensor. This is mainly due to the selection of the frequency range and the patented noise suppression power circuit.

   The simultaneous effect of the ultrasonic transducer can prevent the influence. They maintain the synchronization function based on the simple connection of separate synchronization lines. They also send a single pulse of sound waves, working like a separate sensor, and have an extended detection angle of view.

  Sensor replacement work (multi-channel)

  Ultrasonic sensors with working in a replacement method are independent and distributed among each other, and it is not easy to influence each other. The more sensors that are working in the replacement method, the lower the response power switching frequency.

   Test Standard

   Ultrasonic sensors are very suitable for working in "gas" substances. This type of sensor can also work in other vapor substances, but sensitivity adjustments must be carried out.

   blind spot

   Immediate dual-beam ultrasonic sensor cannot reliably detect a part of the block located at the front end of the ultrasonic ultrasonic transducer. Therefore, the area between the ultrasonic transducer and the starting point of the detection range is called the blind spot. The sensor must remain unobstructed in this area.

   Gas temperature and environmental humidity

   The gas temperature and environmental humidity will endanger the travel time of the sound wave. For every 20ºC increase in gas temperature, the detection interval increases by up to 3.5%. Under relatively dry gas standards, an increase in environmental humidity will cause the speed of sound to increase by up to 2% ultrasonic gas flowmeter transducer  .

   Gas working pressure

  Air change of ±5% under basic conditions (choose a fixed machine tool coordinate system) will cause the detection range to change ±0.6%. In most cases, there is no problem with the application of the sensor under 5Bar working pressure.

   cyclone

  The transition of the cyclone may harm the speed of sound. Little is known that the harm caused by the cyclone velocity of up to 8m/s is insignificant. Under the standards that cause gas vortexes, such as hot metal materials, it is recommended that it is not necessary to use ultrasonic sensors for detection, because it is very difficult to measure the echo of the sound wave with out-of-frame deformation.

  Pump action

Which can implement dual-position control, such as a liquid level meter automatic control system pump injection pumping function. When a measured object prevents the sensor from reaching the far point of the detection range, the posture is output.
