The basic ultrasonic transducer is commonly known as flat probe or straight probe, its structure includes many functions,like piezoelectric chip, the function of protective film and fast absorption,that is to transmit and receive the ultrasonic distance measuring transducer wave. The function of the protective film is to avoid the direct contact workpiece and wear the wafer. But also as an intermediate medium to improve sound transmission performance; Absorbent has the following three aspects function: (1) as a backing material for supporting the wafer, (2) the absorption of the wafer to the back surface of the wafer, and (2) the absorption of the wafer to the back surface of the wafer, (3) absorbing (damping) the vibrational energy of the wafer, shortening the ring time of the wafer ultrasonic distance sensor that allow the wafer to be stopped by the pulsed excitation, and then reducing the mechanical Q value (Qm) , to ensure that the waveform is not distorted and resolution requirements.


Ordinary oblique probe means the function of the piezoelectric crystal chip is the same as the straight probe, which is used to transmit and receive the long range ultrasonic distance sensor. The function of the fast absorption is the same as the straight probe, and the function of absorbing is the same as wedge ,which prevents the interference of the wedge on the wafer.
