Some ultrasonic transducers use separate transmitters and receivers. When it is detecting slow-moving objects, or when they need to respond quickly, when underwater ultrasonic distance sensors are used in the wet environments, this type of beam-guided or discrete ultrasonic sensor is very suitable. Ultrasonic sensors are the first choice for detecting transparent objects and liquids, ultrasonic distance transducer is detecting surfaces that are smooth, rough and shiny, translucent materials, and detecting irregular objects.

Ultrasonic transducers are not suitable for applications where there are outdoor, extremely hot environments, and pressure vessels. It is also not possible to detect foamed objects. Ultrasonic transducer distance sensor consists primarily of piezoelectric wafers that can emit both ultrasonic and ultrasonic waves. Low-power ultrasound transducers are used for detection. It has many different configurations and can be divided into straight probes (longitudinal waves), it is oblique probes (transverse waves), surface wave probes (surface waves), lamb wave probes (lamb waves), dual probes (one is emiting transducer , one is receiving transducer ) .

The core of an dual frequency depth measurement sensor is a piezoelectric wafer in its plastic jacket or metal jacket. There are many types of materials that make up the wafer. The size, diameter and thickness of the wafers are also different, so the performance of long range distance measuring transducer is different. We must understand its performance in advance before it is under the usage.
