The formula for calculating the K value of the inclined ultrasonic transducer is as follows:
The K value of the inclined ultrasonic transducer sensor refers to the tangent value of the refraction angle. The mathematical calculation formula of the K value of the inclined probe is:
K=tanβ=L (defect horizontal position value)/H (defect depth value)
The K value of the inclined heat meter transducer actually refers to the ratio of the horizontal position of the defect to the depth of the defect.
The angle corresponding to the K value of a common oblique transducer.

How to choose K value of ultrasonic oblique transducer

The K value of the inclined probe should be selected according to the material, defect type, inspection process and other factors of the workpiece to be inspected. The following points are the experience of selecting the K value.

(1) Select large K value for thin wall, (2) select small K value for thick wall, (3) select small K value for multiple wave, (4) vertical defect of acoustic beam, (5) select small K value for coarse crystal material, (6 ) For materials with large attenuation coefficient, select a small K value.

In the actual testing, in formulating the testing process (operation guide), the best K value of the inclined stainless steel ultrasonic transducer should be selected in strict accordance with the requirements of the corresponding testing standards (as shown in the table below) and the actual testing situation.
