Piezoelectric hydrophone principle/working principle: Piezoelectric ceramicsare used as the energy-transforming material. The piezoceramic tubes are arranged in two parallels to form a bamboo-shaped structure to improve the sensitivity and anti-interference ability of the hydrophone. The piezoelectric ceramic tubes are bonded and positioned with insulating gaskets. The piezoceramic tube deforms under the action of sound pressure, and generates an electrical signal output by virtue of its piezoelectric effect.
The piezoceramic sensing element and its internal support structure are permanently bonded in lead-free, acoustically transparent, rubber. The piezoelectric hydrophone support structure is made of a metal alloy that is extremely resistant to corrosion in almost all harsh environments and is very resistant to fouling when submerged in seawater. The internal supports are mechanically and electrically isolated from the metal casing, coupled only by elastomer. This provides vibration isolation of the sensing element.
