Ultrasonic Scalpels Application:
The ultrasonic scalpel is typically composed of a piezoelectric converter, a flange, a concentrator, and a blade. The piezoelectric ceramic is an outstanding candidate for ultrasonic scalpel actuators due to its excellent performances in terms of rapid responses to voltage inputs, high stiffness and large output force . Ultrasonic piezoelectric converters can transform the high-frequency ultrasonic oscillating signals into mechanical Ultrasonic Scalpels cut and coagulate tissue simultaneously by using ultrasonic vibrations.
These devices are used to cut and coagulate tissue and vessels up to 5mm in size .Ultrasonic scalpels are used in open and laparoscopic general, plastic, pediatric,urologic and gynecologic procedures, and are exposed to orthopedic structures .
